Hello,
I just got the Enigma Machine app … very nice. The only thing that would improve the experience wold be what the Germans called a ‘Schriebmax’, essentially a printer that would print whatever was typed on a little strip of paper, you can reference it on Wikipedia.
I have friends that would love to type messages to each other with this thing (childish, yes, but still fun). Thank you

Thanks for downloading my program. I’m glad you like it.
My program actually has the feature you are describing. If you open the ‘Window’ menu, you have the option of selecting the ‘Schriebmax’ window.

Wonderful piece of history this. Hopefully I can use it to help my son understand some of the more technical aspects of WWII and also help him understand that technology ain’t new! Absolutely tops!

Thanks everyone for the great comments. @jeff – I’m hoping to try to port my simulator to the iPhone/iPod Touch soon.

Very cool simulator. I especially like the patch cords. Good work on that. Do you have any plans to allow the user to choose what model of Enigma machine, such as the later ones that let you choose from up to 8 rotors?
